New Caledonian Crow
(Corvus moneduloides)

This individual has a pandanus-leaf tool in its beak. The bird cuts a strip from the perimeter of the leaf and uses it as a hooked tool for extracting a grub from a tree crevice. This is one of only a few bird species known for tool manufacture and use.
